Kindergarten Education

This pivotal year brings together everything children have learned in their preschool years and helps them make a major leap forward in thinking, learning, and social development.

What Makes Our Kindergarten Different

  • From concrete to abstract learning: In preschool, children rely on concrete materials to understand concepts. In Kindergarten, they begin to think abstractly — reading written numbers, solving math equations, reading and writing words, rather than relying on physical objects.
  • Social growth & peer interaction: Around age 5, children enter a “social period.” The grace and courtesy lessons become essential as they start interacting more with peers. We give children the vocabulary and tools they need to communicate, cooperate, and navigate social situations.
  • Individual learning pace, no pressure: Children progress at their own rate. There’s no pressure to “keep up” or “slow down.” This helps them develop initiative, perseverance, and confidence.
  • Personalized attention: With small class sizes and low teacher-student ratios, lessons are tailored to each child’s interests, strengths, and needs. Teachers observe each child closely, adapt lessons accordingly, and support their growth over time.
  • Independent, self-directed learners: Rather than being graded on a single “correct answer,” children are guided to discover answers themselves — fostering deep understanding and long-term retention, not just memorization.
  • A curriculum that meets (and exceeds) standard education requirements: Our Montessori program is designed not only to match, but to exceed what is typically expected in public school education.
